So, it’s really hard not to make my next post about COVID 19. It is affecting not only me, but each one of you and everyone you know. It has changed the way we connect, how we treat each other, how we work…etc. Everything was thrown off balance and it is still going. No real progress has been made and we can only hope this will all be over soon and that life can go back to normal.
This virus has affected me personally as well as professionally. Personally, I have not seen my mother for almost a month now which is very difficult for me, because I used to see her every day! I miss her dearly and so does my 14-month old daughter. And I really just want to go see her, even if it’s just for a few hours. But I know I shouldn’t for her safety and mine. #Stayhome
Professionally, it had a significant impact on my business and my sales. There were many events that I was looking forward to such as Salaam Souk, I Heart Halal, and Muslim Made Market and all of them got cancelled. I was so looking forward to meeting new people and vendors, but unfortunately, none of that ended up happening.
What keeps my spirit up is knowing that God has a plan for us and we are all in this together.
